An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Tutor to join our Secure and Specialist Education team at Hampshire County Council.

Secure and Specialist Education is a part of the Participation and Lifelong Learning service, within Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services Directorate, with the responsibility for delivering education to some of the most vulnerable learners in the county.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented professional to join our team and play a key role in delivering/supporting the education package though this role as PSHE Tutor.
We are looking for a committed member of staff with the ability to lead our PSHE provision at Bluebird and Austen House. Bluebird and Austen are secure, CAMHs hospitals and our learners are likely to have a range of complex needs, so creativity and emotional resilience are a must!
What you’ll do:
- Plan and deliver the PSHE programme across Bluebird House and Austen House.
- Collaborate with other PSHE tutors within the service to maximise the provision.
- Participate and plan sessions for our enrichment weeks.
- Adopt an inclusive approach in all activities.
What we’re looking for:
- A Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) tutor, with experience of teaching SEND learners.
- Demonstrates core values of patience, empathy, and compassion.
- A team player with strong collaborative skills.
- Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with a diverse range of people, including learners, professionals and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills and able to accurately record information.
