URGENT: Spring & Summer Year 4/5 teacher

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We know, it’s the worst time of year to look for a new team member but we need you and we need you to be brilliant!   Our Year 4/5 class need stability and continuity and we are looking for that special someone to teach them for the spring and summer terms due to long term sickness absence.  They are a great bunch of 28 children, all keen to learn and the class is supported by an LSA who knows the children well.

Our children and teaching team are looking for a team-mate who…

…loves working as a team but can also work on your own initiative

…believes learning should be rooted in real life experiences

…can think creatively about delivery of learning so that children are engaged and interested

…has strong previous KS2 experience

…has high expectations of children and adults you work with (and yourself of course!)

…wants to develop professionally within an experienced staff

We have 161 children in our school and it’s thriving but we never sit still!  We know the challenges of working in a small school and have created teams to work within and plan alongside so that you’re not on your own as well as having known staff cover classes and well distributed subject leadership. Our curriculum is well established and we have a robust residential and visits programme to enrich children’s experiences.

We realise time is tight between now and the end of term but would welcome an informal chat or a show around so you can take a look for yourself or, if you’d like an application pack please email the headteacher, Emma Jefferies e.jefferies@stockbridge.hants.sch.uk.

We reserve the right to interview candidates at a mutually convenient time as applications arrive.  Final deadline for the post is 7pm on Wednesday 18th Dec 2024

Alternatively, you can give our Admin Officer, Debbie Spayes, a call 01264 810550 to book an appointment to look around.
