Permanent; Part-Time Welfare and Health Officer (W.H.O.)

We would like to recruit a Welfare and Health Officer to join our busy school office. The successful candidate will ideally have school office experience and be a trained first aider (although not essential as training can be given to the right candidate). We need someone with excellent organisational skills who can multitask, adapting to the changing needs of the school and its pupils.
You will be based in the front office and a significant part of the role will be to support reception and the back office team. Responsibilities will include:
First aid
Looking after children with medical conditions
Welfare support to pupils
Administration support for the school’s Health & Safety responsibilities
Accident reporting and investigation
Ideally, candidates will:
Understand and have experience of working in a busy team
Have a proven track record of great communication face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Have excellent IT skills
All candidates must:
Have a caring approach to children and adults
Be able to remain calm and unflappable in challenging situations
