Wellbeing Lead/ELSA with some LSA time

Job Introduction

We are eager to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Wellbeing Lead/ELSA to support all children at All Saint with their positive mental health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will provide social, emotional and mental health support to all primary aged children, either in 1:1 sessions, small groups or as part of whole class teaching sessions. 

 

They will work alongside parents to meet the needs of the children, offering support or directing to other agencies. They will work closely with the SENDCo, to plan and deliver support programmes and be integral to promoting wellbeing and positive mental health across the school. 

 

The successful candidate will be working across the primary phase with pupils who have a variety of needs.  Past experience of working as an ELSA or in a family support role is essential.  

 

We want the successful candidate to be able to play a significant part in the continuing development of our school and to be able to work in partnership with the Headteacher, all staff and Governors.

  • Optimistic and flexible to the demands of the job and needs of the children
  • Able to use initiative, tact and be patient and calm with all vested groups
  • Able to maintain professionalism and safeguard pupils, staff and parents with confidentiality
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to support primary aged pupils, in 1:1, small groups or whole class teaching
  • Able to supporting pupils with a variety of social, emotional and mental health difficulties and learning needs
  • Organised, able to organise their diary, timetable and liaise with the SENDCo

The role will also include some class based learning support assistant time amongst the dedicated ELSA/Wellbeing role. 

Start Date September 2025

Salary - Grade C

19 Hours per week - Term Time only
