Are you a highly organised leader with a passion for childcare and a knack for making things run like clockwork? Colden Common Primary School is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new, school-led wrap-around care provision. Following an incredibly positive response from our parent community—with 131 families participating in our recent survey—we are looking for a dedicated Manager to bring this vision to life.

The Role

This is a pivotal role where you will build and lead a service that is already in high demand. As the Manager, you won't just be supervising; you'll be the architect of the provision. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Policy & Compliance: Drafting the essential policies and procedures to ensure a safe, high-quality environment.
  • Operations & Finance: Managing the booking and payment systems efficiently.
  • Provision Planning: Organising engaging activities and ordering food for healthy breakfasts and snacks.
  • Leadership: Leading and inspiring a team of play workers to provide the best possible experience for our pupils.

Hours of Provision

The new provision will operate Monday through Friday during term time:

  • Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 08:45
  • After-School Club: 15:15 – 18:00

Note: We are happy to discuss flexible working patterns or specific days for the right candidate.

About You

With over 80% of our surveyed parents expressing interest in using this care regularly, you will be managing a bustling and popular service. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has Experience: You have a proven track record of working with children in a professional setting.
  • Is Tech-Savvy: You are efficient with computing systems and comfortable managing digital booking platforms.
  • Is Highly Organised: You can juggle the administrative side of a large provision while maintaining a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Is a Natural Leader: You can guide a team and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.

Why Colden Common?

This is a rare opportunity to start a provision from the ground up with the full support of a highly engaged school community. If you are ready to make a real difference for our families and provide a "home from home" for our children, we want to hear from you.
