- Hours of Work: 6 hrs per week - term time only 7.00am – 9.00am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Job/Person Summary
The Headteacher and Governors are looking to appoint dedicated and caring practitioners for our growing wraparound care provision. We require Before school club assistants who will support the running of our high quality provision. We are happy to accept applications for either the full 6 hours, or 2 hours on any of the days available.
The successful candidate will:
- Be someone who cares for the children and enjoys seeing them have fun
- Be creative and can come up with ideas for activities for the children to engage in
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Have a caring, patient approach towards children
- Have a positive approach that supports the schools’ visions and values
- Have strong interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Be a team player with a professional attitude
- Is able to use their own initiative
- Has appropriate experience of and enjoys working with the 4-11 age group
- Has a Childcare qualification (desirable)
Duties include
- Setting up the Before and After School Club provision
- Support a weekly activity programme of activities
- Welcoming children and helping them to settle in to the session
- Supporting the children in a wide variety of active games and quieter small group activities including board games, construction, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor sporting activities
- Attend to children’s health and well-being needs as necessary
- Assisting in clearing away once the sessions have ended
- Following procedures to dismiss children to their carer at the end of the session
- Complete relevant paperwork in line with the role and responsibilities
- Food preparation
- First Aid
