Year 1 Class Teacher, full time for Spring and Summer terms 2025

Job Introduction

We are recruiting a temporary class teacher for our school.  The role is temporary to cover maternity leave for Spring and Summer term 2025.  

 

Our staff are committed to every child getting the best possible provision in an inclusive classroom. Children at St John’s know what it means to be a REACH learner; we are looking for staff who can be resilient, enthusiastic, ambitious, creative and hands on learners too. 

Our new colleague will:

  • demonstrate strong class teaching skills
  • have excellent working knowledge of how children learn in all areas
  • embrace challenge and try new things in your teaching 
  • challenge children to be inquisitive and thoughtful
  • have high aspirations for themselves and their class
  • see opportunities and seek solutions, advocating for every child in their class
  • have experience in teaching in KS1
  • be an excellent communicator with parents/carers
  • be organised, determined and self-aware
  • enjoy working in a team, keen to learn and pass on your own experience and knowledge
