Year 6 Class Teacher, Maths, Senior Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St. James’ CEC Primary School in the beautiful town of Emsworth. We are seeking to appoint a Year 6 class teacher who will lead Maths and become an active member of our senior leadership team. In this role, the successful candidate will support the development of the school by leading an area of school improvement. 

We are looking for a teacher and leader who will:

  • Actively support our Christian ethos
  • Deliver engaging, high quality inclusive lessons.
  • Support and prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs and their transition to secondary school
  • Lead, manage and develop Maths across the school to achieve high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils
  • Contribute to whole school development and improvement strategies 
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to whole school development by ensuring that strategic actions are clearly communicated and have impact;
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents and the school leadership team to drive progress and achievement
  • Promote by example, standards of excellence in primary practice
  • Understand the importance of positive relationships and how these create a school community which reflects the values and ethos of our school
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth
