Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year R Learning Support Assistant to join our great team from January 2025 or ASAP.
The role will involve supporting Year R children in class and over lunchtime. We are looking for someone to work 2 or 3 hours per day which must cover 11.45am – 1.15pm – but we are flexible about the other hours e.g. could be 10.30am – 1.30pm or 11am to 2pm. There may be some extra hours as well.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate empathy for children and be responsive to their needs, be able to work under direction and under their own initiative and enjoy being part of a hard-working team.

- Has the confidence to support children who may exhibit more challenging behaviours

- Is able to work under the direction of the class teacher but also can show initiative
- Has excellent team working skills
- Has an ability to communicate effectively with children and staff
- Is conscientious and enthusiastic
- Has a good sense of humour

The post is initially for two terms but could continue after that.
