The Role:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and security of the school premises, contributing to the smooth running of our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Occasional opening and daily closing of the school premises, ensuring security at all times.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Ensure the school grounds are clean, tidy, and safe.
- Liaise with contractors and oversee on-site works.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Basic DIY skills and general maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of regular hours.
