0.6FTE Mon-Wed teacher

Job Introduction

Are you what we’re looking for?

We need a fabulous teacher to work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays; Mon &Tues will have a teaching commitment with our Year 2/3 class as their usual teacher has moved across to our SENDCo role and you will partner with her for the remainder of the week.  Wednesdays are covering our PPA provision for the whole school.

Our year 2/3 class are fabulous; they love learning, are keen to try new things and want to make progress. A full time LSA works with the class for the whole week and there is fortnightly PPA available for you so that you can get stuck into a job or two.

We have a strong, experienced group of teachers who work closely with their PPA cover teacher to ensure children receive a high-quality education all of the time. We are looking for someone who works well with others and is a team player but likes having a class that’s ‘theirs’ too.

Fundamentally, we are looking for one person with three key qualities:

The ability to teach across the primary age range; Wednesdays are PPA cover, from Year R through to Year 6.  Key Stage 1 are released in the mornings and Key Stage 2 in the afternoon, sharing the cover with a sports coach. Subjects to be covered can be negotiated but must include French.  The main part of the role is Monday & Tuesdays with year 2/3.

The ability to reflect; we are all learning and when a lesson goes right or wrong, we share it and learn from it. We never settle for second best – there’s always something that can be improved upon.

But most importantly;

We want you to care about our children; they get one chance at school.  We want you to be motivated by their success, know that they learn when memorable experiences are created on a daily basis and need someone who has clear boundaries but is kind and caring.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. If you would an informal chat about any aspect of this post please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Emma Jefferies, Headteacher at the School. Contact can be made through Mrs Debbie Spayes, the School’s admin officer.

Appointments can be arranged and applications obtained from the school office by telephoning 01264 810550 or by emailing our School Office;  adminoffice@stockbridge.hants.sch.uk.
