We are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support one of our children with additional needs, starting September 2026. This is a full-time position, with typical hours of 8:30am–3:15pm or 8:45am–3:30pm.
The role involves supporting a child with an EHCP who requires additional provision to support their learning within school. The 1:1 LSA will work closely with the child’s class teacher and our Deputy Headteacher to ensure that the pupil’s provision is consistent with that of their peers and meets their individual needs.
No two days are the same, but on a typical day you will:
Meet and greet the child to ensure a positive transition from home to school.
Make the child feel safe, happy, and cared for at school.
Follow the child’s Three-Point Behaviour Plan to ensure consistency across all staff.
Adapt the teacher’s plan to meet the specific needs of the pupil in your care.
Communicate with parents/carers when the child is collected.
Provide specialist care as required.
Support during lunchtimes to ensure positive behaviour in the school hall and playground.
