Attendance Officer


35 hours per week, 8.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks). Flexibility with hours can be considered. Grade C – Step 1 Actual Annual Salary £19,974.96 (which is equivalent to a full time salary of £25,186).


As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust is trialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October 2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one week October half term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39 weeks and the salary would increase accordingly.


Deer Park School is a new state of the art seven-form secondary school which opened in September 2021. At present there are just under 910 students on roll across Year 7-11. We are part of the RAISE Education Trust which comprises of Deer Park Secondary School, Wildern Secondary School and Boorley Park Primary School.  We will have a PAN of 1050 when full.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and analysing whole school attendance and punctuality as well as attendance of specific cohorts and student groups.
  • Working proactively with the Deputy Headteacher for pastoral and Heads of Year to ascertain reasons for student absence and implement strategies that will help address and prevent further absence.
  • Communicating and corresponding effectively with parents/carers, the attendance legal panel and alternative education providers.
  • Efficient and accurate recording of all information relating to attendance through SIMs, attendance logs and statutory returns.
  • Supporting the Pastoral team with behaviour and welfare issues as well as working one to one with students who are on specific attendance support plans.
