Salary: Grade F Actual £34,765.40 - FTE £40,643

Contract Type: Full-time 37 hours, Term-time +1 week, Permanent

Start Date: 1 June 2026

Closing Date: 24 April 2026, midday

Interview Date: Week commencing 27 April 2026

We would like to appoint a Business and Administration Manager to join our friendly school team.  The role is central to the effective running of the school’s day to day communication and administration in our busy school office. 


Experience in school administration is highly desirable, but candidates with the right experience, skills and qualities for the role are very welcome.  The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work quickly, be self-motivated, flexible, trustworthy and have excellent organisation skills.  They need to be able to show initiative, communicate at all levels and be committed to supporting the welfare of all children.


Managing a small team, you will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative and financial support ensuring that a high quality and effective service is delivered at all times, including providing support for the Headteacher and Senior Leaders.


About You:

This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, flexible team player with excellent communication, presentation and people management skills, who is able to demonstrate: 

  • A passion for working in a primary school environment
  • Strong financial understanding and management of budgets
  • The ability to multi-task with dexterity under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A capacity for implementing clear systems and processes with sensitivity and rigour
  • High levels of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
  • The ability to develop positive working relationships, working collaboratively and effectively with all colleagues 
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and online platforms and processes
