1 to 1 Learning Support Assistant for pupils with SEND - St Mary's Catholic Primary School

Job Introduction

St Mary’s is looking for a learning support assistant to support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis You will be well supported with training and supervision in your role and you get to be part of an incredible team that put children at the heart of all they do.  

St Mary’s is a good school and a Centre of Excellence for Oracy. We are keen to work with individuals who are ambitious for all children and will be a team player.

Has excellent interpersonal skills and is caring, calm and patient

Has a positive attitude and is flexible to the demands of the role

Resilient in their role and seeks solutions to any problems

Is able to work as part of a team, learning with and from other colleagues

Enjoys working independently and with initiative

Is able to work with children individually to enable them to achieve their best

Can communicate clearly at all levels

Is able to provide written and verbal feedback to the class teacher as required

Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills

Demonstrates good English and mathematical skills

Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
