1 to 1 Learning Support Assistant
Could you help a child feel understood, included and ready to learn? We are looking for a warm, committed Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil and make a real difference to their educational experience.
The role
You will support the pupil’s learning and wellbeing in the classroom, working with the teacher and other staff to help them take part in school life. You will build a trusting relationship, understand what different behaviours may be communicating and try different approaches when something is not working. The role calls for patience, energy, enthusiasm and practical problem solving.
Make a difference to a child’s school day
Broughton Primary School, part of the Broughton and West Tytherley Federation, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child in the classroom. You will help the child take part in learning, build confidence and enjoy a positive educational experience.
Every child responds differently. We are looking for someone who takes time to understand behaviour and what a child may be communicating, tries different approaches when something is not working, and works with staff and other professionals to find practical solutions.

- understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Experience supporting children with SEND or emotional literacy would be helpful, but we also welcome applicants who bring the right personal qualities and are keen to learn.
