1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

Do you enjoy the variety and vitality of life within a school?  Are you looking to make a difference and help children succeed?  We are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable person to join our friendly Year 5 team, offering support on a 1:1 basis for a child with significant medical needs as well as academic needs.

Experience of working in a school and in the delivery of intervention programmes would be desirable. This will include elements of individual intervention to enhance the child’s learning. You will work under the direct guidance of the year team and be supported by the school’s Inclusion Team.

In addition to an induction, full medical training for this pupil will be provided, which may include some aspects of intimate care. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in School is desirable.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has the desire to make a real difference and impact to a young person’s life.
  • Enjoys working as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
  • Strives for high standards in everything that they do.
