Admin Officer – Start date 13th April 2026
Selborne Primary is a small rural school located in the beautiful village of Selborne, just outside Alton. We have a strong Christian ethos and special family atmosphere that infiltrates into all that we do in our school.
We are looking to recruit an Admin officer to join our wonderful village school. The successful candidate will be welcoming, motivated, highly organised, flexible, numerate & resilient and someone who enjoys the challenge of working in a busy office environment.
This is an exciting and lively role at the hub of the school, involving working with staff, governor’s pupils and parents.
The successful candidate will need to be experienced and skilled in managing a wide range of tasks. A financial background is ideal to support the Headteacher in all budgetary, grants and HR matters.

The successful applicant will need to:
- Have experience working in a school, preferably as a school Admin Officer; Knowledge of school software and MIS systems; Arbor, SAP and the IBC would be a great advantage as well as managing school finances.
- Experience of HR tasks including recruitment, on boarding new staff, processes travel claims and looking after staff personnel files
- Hold a Maths and English (Grade C or above) qualifications or equivalent
- Possess excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel)
- Enjoy working in a busy school environment, where every day is different and dynamic
- Enjoy working with children;
- Use their initiative and thrive through a "can do" approach to resolving problems
- Be able to multitask and prioritise calmly under pressure, dealing with all matters confidentially;
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, including a good sense of humour.
- Has experience of financial management and grants including budgeting, forecasts, reports and managing invoices.
