Admin Officer

Job Introduction

We are seeking an organised, proactive and creative Administration Officer to lead our school communications and coordinate all school trips, while providing high-quality administrative support across the school.

This is an exciting role at the heart of school life.  You will be a highly organised, confident and adaptable administrator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for clear, effective communication. You will enjoy managing multiple priorities and helping the school run smoothly.

This position is term time only 39 weeks plus 2 weeks, 41 weeks in total, 37 hours 8.10 - 16.00 Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support across school events.

Maintain children’s records and compliance using the school’s Management Information   

  System (MIS).

Manage DBS checks, the Single Central Register (SCR) and compliance in line with

safeguarding regulations.   

Manage social media channels, creating and publishing daily content.

Produce the school’s weekly newsletters and support website updates.

Manage the school’s main contact inbox and assist with internal staff communications.

Lead the organisation, administration and compliance of all school trips and visits.

Coordinate parental communications and maintain accurate records.

Provide DPO admin support.

Provide first aid across the school and attend required training.

Manage the application and transition process for new entrants.

Maintain and undertake a termly audit of school uniform provision.

 Person Specification

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong digital confidence, including experience with social media and newsletter tools.

Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, students, parents and visitors.

Discreet and trustworthy, as the role involves dealing with confidential and sensitive issues in line with GDPR regulations.
