Senior Administrative Assistant

Closing date: 12 noon Friday 13th June

Contract/Hours: Permanent, 20.5 hours per week term time (40 week contract)

Salary Type: Support Staff

Salary Details:Grade B or C grade: depending on experience:  (B=£24,027 C= £25,430 FTE)

Hours of Work:(20.5 hours per week) – 8.00 am to 4.00pm Tuesday and Wednesday (with ½ hour lunch break) . Monday 8-12.30pm (For the right candidate there can be some flexibiliy on the days worked e.g. could be a Thursday instead of the Tuesday etc..) This can be discussed further at interview.

Job/Person Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our warm and friendly busy administration team. 

Applicants will need to be highly organised, efficient, and able to multi task.  You will need an eye for detail and most importantly have a good sense of humour and have a love of dogs as we have a school dog- who is often helping out in the office!

You will be front of house welcoming students, parents and visitors into our school so a friendly, approachable and ‘can do’ attitude is essential. The role will include ordering lunches, ensuring the registers are taken and correct and organising after school clubs, school trips, parents evening etc as well as taking payments from parents and general office/admin duties as well as administering first aid.

You will need to be confident in all forms of communication, verbal and written and have an excellent telephone manner.

The right individual will be effective at prioritising tasks and balancing working as part of a team as well as independently.  So if you are looking for a busy, varied and rewarding role and you love dogs we would love to hear from you!

Previous School Admin experience is preferable but not essential.  The candidate must also be flexible and be able to cover sickness and training days and be confident in computer software tools including Excel and Word. Knowledge of school systems (Arbor, Tucasi and Parentmail) are also desirable but not essential as training will be given. Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths is required.
