Through your administrative, organisational and project support, you'll help drive partnership working, coordinate key activities and ensure improvement projects continue to make a meaningful difference.
Working as part of the SEND Partnerships & Strategy Team, you'll collaborate with colleagues and partners across education, health and social care, while helping to ensure the voices of children, young people and families are embedded in decision-making. From supporting the SEND Assurance & Improvement Board and coordinating inspection readiness activity to facilitating co-production and participation initiatives, you'll contribute to positive change across Hampshire's SEND services.
What you'll do
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the SEND Assurance & Improvement Board and wider SEND improvement projects across Hampshire County Council.
- Coordinate diaries and meetings with key partners, ensuring priorities and actions are effectively managed.
- Manage shared inboxes, multi-agency Teams channels and SharePoint sites, keeping information accurate, accessible and up to date.
- Prepare meeting papers, reports and communications, take minutes, and track follow-up actions to support delivery.
- Support co-production and participation forums for parents/carers, children and young people, coordinating engagement activities, events, workshops and consultations.
- Support Local Area SEND inspection readiness by preparing briefings, maintaining evidence and coordinating key activities and events.
What we're looking for
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience of working with multiple agencies and partners to achieve shared outcomes.
- Knowledge of SEND and current sector practice, or a strong willingness to develop this knowledge through learning, training and professional development.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work on your own initiative, take ownership of tasks and identify opportunities to add value and improve outcomes.
Why join us?
- Make a meaningful contribution to improving SEND services and ensuring children, young people and families have a voice in shaping them.
- Join a collaborative team committed to delivering positive change and better outcomes across Hampshire.
- Access to Health Assured's comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme to support your physical and mental wellbeing, including 24/7 telephone support, a suite of online resources, and legal and financial advice.
- Competitive benefits package, including generous annual leave entitlement, occupational sick pay, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
