Job Introduction
Hours of Work: 33.25 hours per week, Hours currently Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.00 am – 4.45 pm and Friday 8.00 am – 5.00 pm. There can be some flexibility around hours, please ask. Half hour unpaid lunch break, 40 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week)
JOB SUMMARY
We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dedicated team as an Administration Officer, with a focus on the management of the day to day running of our friendly and busy school office, working as part of the school admin team to provide effective administrative and support systems within the school.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Has a wide range of administrative skills and experience, preferably with previous experience of working in a school office.
- is able to communicate effectively in a warm and professional manner at all times
- is flexible, highly organised and able to deal with a variety of administrative tasks, including correspondence and queries.
- is able to multitask and deal with frequent interruptions,
- has a good working knowledge of Arbor or other school based management information systems and willing to train on Arbor
- Proficient use of ICT and good working knowledge of Outlook 365, Word and Excel
- qualified in maths and English at GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent
- first aid qualified or prepared to become first aid trained
- has an appreciation of the importance of confidentiality, honesty and integrity
- be able to offer comprehensive support to the Headteacher and work closely with the Admin Assistant and Senior Admin Officer
- is willing to engage in continuing professional development
- pays attention to detail and has the ability to stay calm under pressure
- is a team player who takes pride in their work and supports the vision and values of the school
- is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues
