The Governors of this friendly and successful school invite applications for the position of After School Club Assistant.

Position: After School Club Assistant

Contract/Hours: 3.30pm-6pm, term time only, casual, paid on a sessional basis.  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.  One or two afternoons a week considered

Start date: September 2026

Pay: £43.39 per session

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic Assistant to join our friendly team of hard working After School Club staff, providing high quality care and supervision of children after school hours. The candidate must be a minimum of 18 years old.

  • has confidence in supervising children
  • shows awareness of safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality procedures
  • forms good working relationships with children, staff and parents
  • is positive, calm and can use their initiative
  • is actively committed to the aims and ethos of our Catholic Christian school

Ideally you will: 

  • have previous experience of working with 4-11 year olds
  • previous experience of, or an interest in pursuing, a career in childcare/education
  • a current food hygiene certificate (training will be given if needed)
  • a current Paediatric First Aid certificate (training will be given if needed)
