LSA Grade C or D depending on experience

Job Introduction

LSA C or D grade depending on experience. Term Time only. Start date 1st September 2026.

This is an exciting time to join Shamblehurst Primary – as we are evaluating our current provision and developing it to meet the needs of our young leaners and build on their EYFS experiences.

We are developing our continuous provision in Year One, ensuring there are high quality resources and learning opportunities that are accessible for children throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors. We believe continuous provision offers children the chance to engage in active learning through hands on, play based activities. It can enable children to explore recent learning, practice new skills and follow their own interests. It gives children time to think and explore and the adults time to work flexibly to support children on an individual level.

We are looking for an LSA to work in Year One who

  • Shares a determination and ambition for all our children to make the very best progress
  • Is a magic weaver, ensuing our children are engaged and excited by their learning
  • Ensures all children feel safe, secure, valued and included
  • Has some experience in working in Key Stage 1
  • Is creative and a team player
  • Is inclusive in their practice
  • Has high expectations
  • Develops excellent relationships with parents and carers
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues
  • Loves supporting and inspiring children in Key Stage One.

  • An inclusive mainstream primary school that is committed to ensuring a positive work life balance and high staff well being
