 Job/Person Summary

We are looking for a suitably qualified Super Man / Woman to join our enthusiastic, friendly, hardworking team of super heroes in our school office who are committed to providing an outstanding service to ensure the smooth running of the school. 

This pivotal role is central to the effective day-to-day operation of the school, providing high-quality administrative support to staff, pupils, parents, and visitors. We are looking for a flexible team member who brings initiative and team spirit to the role, is very organised and efficient, has a high level of professionalism, is conscientious, pays attention to detail, can multi-task, enjoys working with children, is kind and laughs – a lot! Qualities of diplomacy and tact and a good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the appropriate sharing of pupil information are essential too.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and Management Information Systems (MIS), with experience of Arbor being advantageous. They will be able to maintain professionalism in a busy school environment and will be expected to work in partnership with the Business & Admin Manager and two part-time Administration Assistants to ensure the successful completion of administration tasks.

Previous experience of working within a school setting or in a senior administrative position is essential. Candidates must also hold GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school’s Management Information System (Arbor) maintaining pupil data, attendance, census returns, etc. Or be willing to learn these skills.
  • Manage the admissions processes, in-year and main round applications.
  • Manage school communications – newsletters to parents, etc.
  • Willing to support pupil welfare – first aid, administering medicine and maintaining medical records.
