Job Introduction
Medstead C of E Primary School is a thriving single entry village school with a resource Provision for the Deaf. We are looking to appoint a cheerful and optimistic After School Club Assistant to join a well-motivated and enthusiastic team.
The role will involve working in all aspects of the club, assisting other staff with the day to day running of the provision ensuring that the service meets the care, play and educational needs of the children. This role will include ensuring the children have an afternoon snack and all dietary requirements are met.
The successful candidate will have:
Good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with team members along with children and parents
Have a calm manner and be pragmatic
Have experience of working with children (incl. voluntary work) and deal effectively with any first aid needs
Be able to deal with all matters in a confidential and professional manner
Be flexible and able to use own initiative, multi-task and problem solve
Have an awareness of health and safety in schools
Clear knowledge and experience in all issues relating to the safeguarding of children
