Job Role
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic person to join our wraparound care team at Steep C of E Primary School, as an Afterschool Assistant. We are a small primary school located in a beautiful rural area village of Steep which is part of the Southdown’s way, we have mixed class year groups.
The role will be 3.20pm to 6pm, every day. The role is term time only.
The role includes leading activities and playing with the children, preparing and serving snacks and meeting and greeting parents.
The successful candidate would:
· Actively encourage play and engage the children
· Have a positive, can-do attitude and be pro-active in providing a range of activities within the club
· Be sensitive, patient and resilient
· Be able to use their initiative
· Provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where the children want to be
· Provide first aid when required (training will be provided)
· Follow relevant school policies, particularly ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health and safety
The role is offered as a Grade B
