School Cleaner Vacancy
Vernham Dean Gillum's Church of England Primary School is a friendly village primary school located just outside Andover. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Hours:
2 hours per day, Monday to Friday
3:30pm – 5:30pm (There is flexibility around this)
Contract:
Term time only
Permanent - Part Time Grade A (£5,616 per annum)
We are looking for a cleaner who can work to a high standard, ensuring our school is always clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Duties will include:
- Wiping down surfaces
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and mopping floor areas
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning toilet facilities
- Notifying the Facilities Lead/Site Assistant when cleaning stocks are low
- Ensuring that COSHH products and materials are kept safe and secure – training will be provided

- Friendly, trustworthy and able to use their own initiative
- Have a positive can-do attitude and be enthusiastic and pro-active
- Take pride in their work and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Be reliable, punctual, and a good team player, while also able to work independently without supervision
- Be a key holder and able to unlock/lock up if required
- Have an understanding of COSHH
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the school’s safeguarding procedures at all times
- Be willing to complete required e-learning as necessary
