Job/Person Summary
We are very proud of our school, the cleanliness of the school environment is a very important part of our high standards - creating safe, hygienic areas for children to work and play.
We would like to employ another cleaner at the school, to help support the existing team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure that designated areas of the school premises are kept in a clean, hygienic condition and safe for all staff, pupils and visitors to the school.
Cleaning - to require standards:
- wiping down surfaces
- vacuuming carpeted areas
- dusting surfaces
- sweeping hard surfaces
- emptying bins
- cleaning toilets, wash basins and sinks, including any wet areas
- mopping floor areas
- scrubbing non-slip floors
Health & Safety (incl. stock control):
- ensuring that COSHH products / materials are kept safe and secure
- ensuring correct products, including COSHH, appropriately
- alerting Site Manager of potential Health & Safety risks encountered during duties
- dealing with any unpredicted hazards - e.g. cleaning materials left out
- ensuring equipment used is safe, and reporting to Site Manager where there may be issues
