Job Introduction
An opportunity for a reliable and practical person to join our friendly, hardworking premises team as a Cleaner. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team with individual responsibilities. The role will suit someone who would enjoy being part of a busy school environment, helping to deliver a safe and clean site for our children to learn in and be proud of.
HOURS: 6.00 am to 8.00 am, Monday to Friday. 52 week contract with annual leave included (we ask that annual leave is taken during school holidays).
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning allocated areas including classrooms, toilets, corridors and shared areas
- Washing tables and chairs
- Cleaning sinks and toilets
- Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and mopping
- Emptying waste bins
- Deep cleaning tasks as allocated by Site Manager during school holidays
- Undertaking health and safety and caretaking services training as required
The ideal candidate:
- Enthusiastic with good practical and cleaning skills
- Hard working, reliable and flexible
- Efficient and able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Able to use own initiative and to prioritise tasks,
- Committed to taking a pride in their work and our school site
- Willing to undertake basic training and open to new ideas
- Previous experience welcome but not essential as training will be provided.
