Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join the Cleaning Team at Saxon Wood School. You will make sure that designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard, whilst adhering to health and safety procedures.
Saxon Wood is a small special school which caters for children aged 2-11 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will:
- have high standards of cleanliness and customer service
- be able to meet the physical demands of the job
- be reliable, hardworking, and flexible
- be able to work individually and as part of a team to carry out a range of cleaning duties
- take pride in their work
- be able to use own initiative
- understand safeguarding
The role will include:
- cleaning allocated area(s) within designated time: to include hoovering carpeted areas; mopping hard floors; dusting/damp surface cleaning; high level cleaning; toilet cleaning
- stock control
- adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures and risk assessments including COSHH
