Berrywood Primary School is a large three form entry school that boasts 630 wonderful children; stunning grounds and some recently completed building works which have transformed much of our learning environment.
Due to the resignation of one of our admin team members, a rare opportunity has arisen to appoint an efficient, friendly and welcoming person who will enjoy being a part of our vibrant and hardworking team. The contract is for 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. Duties will include:
Role Summary
- school dinner administration
- school trip administration
- drawing up and maintenance of Health Care Plans
- petty cash
- sports tournament and extra-curricular club administration
- responsibility for Tucasi MIS
- banking
- post
- other general office/administration tasks as required
You will also be expected to carry out first aid duties in addition to caring for the welfare of children.
The successful candidate should:
- be able to work as a part of a busy team
- have good computer literacy and an ability to transfer these skills
- be able to maintain confidentiality
- be able to work under pressure in an environment that is full of interruptions, no two days are ever the same – expect the unexpected
- have a good sense of humour – you wouldn’t survive a day without it!
- is flexible and able to work using their own initiative
- be empathetic and caring towards the whole school community
- share our school vision
Desirable although not essential as training will be provided:
- knowledge of Arbor
- knowledge of Tucasi
- first aid qualification
Please note that applicants must be available to work every morning, term time only, in order to be responsible for school dinner administration. The remaining hours can be arranged to suit the successful candidate.
