37 hours a week, term time only, permanent. 

FTE: £28,239 - £32,061

Actual Salary: £24,491 - £27,806


Mary Rose Academy are excited at the prospect of redeveloping their approach to staff cover arrangements and are seeking to appoint two proactive, organised and committed Cover Supervisors to join their team.


Working closely alongside the Academy Admin Lead, Operations Lead and Senior Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in making sure that our school day runs smoothly and that classes have the cover support needed when there are staff absences or vacancies. This will include setting up the daily cover arrangements, liaising with agencies and clearly communicating with the wider team.


Within the day, you will act as in class support for roles up to and including Class Teacher. You will have responsibility for the line management of Internal Vacancy Assistants.


You will want to build excellent relationships with our staff and pupils, while being compassionate to their needs, with a desire to understand them, wholly. You will strive to build positive relationships to ensure best quality service for our pupils and wider staff team.


It is desirable that you have access to your own vehicle and be willing to use this for business purposes if transitioning between campuses.

Working hours for these posts are:

Post 1: Monday, 7am – 3.30pm, Tuesday, 8.30am - 4pm, Wednesday, 7am – 3.30pm, Thursday, 8.30am - 4pm, Friday, 7am – 3pm

Post 2: Monday, 8.30am - 4pm, Tuesday, 7am – 3.30pm, Wednesday, 8.30am - 4pm, Thursday, 7am – 3.30pm, Friday, 8.30am-3pm.

You will work for 39 weeks of the year; however, you will be paid for 45.1 weeks.  Your salary will be paid over 12 months of the year.
