Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering work provided by teachers, monitoring/managing behaviour and keeping pupils on task. You will have high standards of expectation, deliver lively and engaging lessons based on the lesson materials provided and support students by responding to questions.
When lesson cover is not required, you will be engaged in a range of tasks to support the school which may include supporting teachers in lessons, supporting students, exam invigilation and a range of administrative tasks.
You will need a good standard of general education, good communication skills and be both flexible and resilient. Full training will be provided.
This position may particularly appeal to any individuals interested in starting a career in teaching and may, for the right candidate, lead to a Trainee Teacher position being offered. It may also be of interest to recently qualified teachers, who are looking for experience in a school and make lead to a teaching position being offered.
