COVER TEACHER
Due to growing numbers, we are delighted to be in a position to advertise for a Cover Teacher to work with our existing Cover team.
Brighton Hill Community School has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is a rapidly growing coeducational 11-16 Community School with approximately 1300 students. We are looking for a confident, skilled and committed team-player who is willing to utilise their teaching expertise in this demanding yet hugely rewarding role.
Our cover team are an integral part of the school team and help ensure learning and teaching remains at the heart of our commitment to young people, through supervision and teaching of classes when regular teachers are not in school. When cover is light, our cover team undertake administrative and class-based tasks to further support the progress of our students.
Salary: £32,916 MPR1
The successful candidate will be:
- An excellent classroom practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status – able to apply your pedagogical knowledge to cover lessons of all subjects, supporting with planning and marking and collaboration with parents where required, for both long- and short-term teacher absences
- Committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our students and our journey to being an outstanding school
- Able to create a stimulating learning environment to promote exceptional progress and high engagement in their regular classroom teacher’s absence
- Passionate about teaching and learning and your own professional development
- Able to make a significant contribution to wider school life
