DT Technician

Job Introduction

Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Design & Technology Team!

Are you a hands-on, creative individual who loves working with materials and machinery? Do you have a knack for organization and a passion for supporting young learners? Cranbourne is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Technician to join our friendly, hardworking team!

About Us
Cranbourne is a welcoming, inclusive, and forward-thinking school, where dedicated staff and a diverse student body create a vibrant community. With our increasing popularity, we are expanding and on the threshold of "Outstanding." Our ethos is built on collaboration, innovation, and supporting each other to maintain a positive work-life balance.

The Role

You’ll be essential to the smooth running of our Design & Technology department, supporting four talented teachers in preparing materials and equipment for engaging, hands-on lessons. You’ll work with a range of materials—especially wood, acrylic, and metal—and operate various machines, including table saws and pillar drills. Your role will also involve providing valuable support to both teachers and students within lessons, helping to bring projects to life!

While knowledge of construction would be a plus, more importantly, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Is confident and experienced with a range of tools and materials
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Has a positive, proactive attitude toward helping others succeed
