Job Introduction
At Warren Park Primary School, our catering team are friendly, dedicated and hard-working. They help make mealtimes a positive part of the school day and take pride in providing nutritious, home-cooked meals for our children and staff. They really do make a difference every day. We are looking for a Deputy Catering Manager who genuinely enjoys working as part of a team and who shares our passion for great food and excellent service.
About the Role
Working alongside our Catering Manager, you will help prepare, cook and serve healthy meals, maintain excellent hygiene standards, support stock control and administration, and ensure pupils have a positive dining experience. You will also deputise for the Catering Manager when required.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working in a catering environment, ideally with at least three years’ relevant experience.
• Enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious food.
• Works well as part of a team and can use their own initiative.
• Has good organisational and communication skills.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
• Holds a relevant catering qualification, or is willing to work towards one.
• Is reliable, friendly and enthusiastic.
Please note that this is a physically active role involving prolonged standing, moving tables and chairs, and handling kitchen equipment in a busy school kitchen environment.
