Deputy Head Teacher

Job Introduction

Following the retirement of the current post holder, All Saints Church Aided Junior School seeks to recruit a non-class-based Deputy Head Teacher to take up post from September 2025.   All Saints is a four-form entry Guildford Diocesan school with a strong ethos of family and community.  There is a genuine sense of belonging to the school, and care for each other, underpinned by the school’s values of love, respect, perseverance and community. An experienced staff team is well supported by a highly skilled and committed Governing Body.  The school boasts an ambitious curriculum and champions the inclusive classroom, the pupil voice and the fulfilment of every child’s potential, letting their light shine.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as:

  • An inspiring leader who can work collaboratively with staff, pupils and the wider school community
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to implement and sustain policies to achieve the school’s aims and objectives
  • An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external stakeholders

The successful candidate will be:

  • An exemplary classroom practitioner
  • Passionate about high-quality teaching and learning, with the ability to support staff in developing their pedagogical practice
  • Knowledgeable about evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, particularly in supporting pupils who are not yet meeting age-related expectations
  • A creative and reflective practitioner who strives to provide the best possible learning opportunities for all pupils
  • Skilled in promoting high standards of behaviour and professionalism amongst both staff and pupils
  • Committed to continuous professional development and fostering a culture of innovation and best practices

Interviews by Panel will be held on Friday 25th April 2025.  The panel will comprise the Chair of Governors, the Local Authority Primary Phase Inspector, the Head Teacher and a further Governor.
