We’re looking for a motivated Finance Adviser with strong interpersonal skills to join our successful Education Financial Services (EFS) team at Hampshire County Council.

The Role:

We’re looking for a proactive Finance Adviser with excellent people skills to join our well-established Education Financial Services (EFS) team.

What you'll do:

This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting schools in managing their finances effectively - contributing to the smooth running of educational settings and ultimately supporting better outcomes for children and young people.

The role offers variety and flexibility, with the requirement to travel to a diverse mix of schools. You’ll build trusted relationships with headteachers, school business managers, and other stakeholders, offering tailored financial advice and guidance. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be adapting your approach to suit different environments and needs.

What we're looking for:

We welcome applicants with strong accounting knowledge, ideally holding an AAT Level 3 qualification or relevant equivalent (e.g. CSBM). You’ll bring confidence, initiative, and a commitment to helping schools achieve the best outcomes.
