English Intervention Practitioner (HLTA)

Job Introduction

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and skilled English Intervention Practitioner (HLTA) to join our English Faculty and wider Crofton community. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about literacy and believes in the difference that the right support, encouragement and intervention can make to a young person’s confidence and achievement. Working closely with our English team, you will provide high-quality, targeted support to students who are working below age-related expectations, particularly those who are disadvantaged. Through one-to-one and small-group intervention, you will help students develop their literacy skills, confidence and independence, giving them the tools they need not only to succeed in English, but to access learning successfully across the whole curriculum.

At Crofton, relationships are at the heart of what we do. We are proud of our strong, supportive school community and want every student to feel known, valued and encouraged to achieve their best. You will become an important part of both our English Faculty and the wider school, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify need, develop engaging resources and interventions, monitor progress and celebrate success. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with young people, motivate and inspire them, and bring patience, creativity and high expectations to their work. In return, you will join a welcoming and committed team where colleagues support one another and where your contribution to improving outcomes for our students will be genuinely valued.
