We are now seeking an experienced teacher on the Upper Pay Range to take on the rewarding role of Lead Teacher within a year group from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly effective practitioner who wants to make a meaningful impact across their team and contribute to the federation’s ongoing commitment to excellence.

TLR2a Core Purpose: To lead the design, development, and continual refinement of a coherent, ambitious curriculum across the Federation.

About the Role:

As Lead Teacher, you will:

  • Model high‑quality teaching and learning within your year group.
  • Mentor an ECT or SCITT trainee, playing a vital role in developing new teachers and contributing to our work as a training‑focused federation.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, enthusiastic and child‑centred team, where shared practice and reflective dialogue are at the heart of what we do.

A Curriculum Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a member of the Federated Leadership Team
  • Ensure the curriculum remains coherent, well-sequenced and supports strong progress and consistency across all subjects.
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and improvement planning.
  • Work with Achievement Leads to embed literacy and numeracy across subjects.
  • Ensure inclusion, equality of opportunity, and cultural capital are embedded.
  • Lead CPD on curriculum design and pedagogy.
  • Monitor curriculum impact through outcomes, pupil voice, and work scrutiny.
  • Support subject leaders with high-quality planning and assessment design.
  • Oversee sequencing, progression, and curriculum implementation.
  • Lead strategic curriculum intent, ensuring alignment with Federation values and pupil needs.
  • Be responsible for supporting colleagues and helping to secure consistency and excellence across the federation
