Are you an inspiring, compassionate and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a role where every day makes a real difference?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Community Tutor to support students experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). This rewarding role involves working one-to-one with students in their homes, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and successfully transition back into school through our Harbour EBSA provision.
If you have the ability to teach English, Maths and Science up to GCSE level, and are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and their families.
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised English, Maths and Science lessons based on our established curriculum.
- Provide high-quality tuition within students' homes to support their individual learning journeys
- Monitor progress, celebrate success and work closely with Senior Leaders to ensure smooth and successful reintegration into school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional educational experiences and outstanding pastoral support.
Please note: As this role is primarily community-based, comprehensive risk assessments are carried out before all home visits.
