Portway Junior School is a popular and oversubscribed junior school on the edge of Andover. Our most recent Ofsted inspection describes us as a ‘good’ school where children achieve well, take pride in their learning and benefit from an aspirational and well designed curriculum. The report also noted our skilled staff and the strong positive and supportive culture within the school.
Come and join our vital team of maintenance staff who ensure the school is kept in tip-top condition.
Duties will include:
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning allocated areas
- Washing tables
- Cleaning sinks and toilets
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping
- Ensuring we have a clean school.
Monday to Friday, 2 hours 30 minutes a day.
Afternoon 15:15 to 17:45
There could be a possible early morning shift instead, this will depend on age.
This is a 42-week contract which is term time plus 3 weeks during the school holidays. Hours worked during school holidays are blocked together in agreement with the site manager.

The actual salary is £7,630.08 (24,521 FTE)
