HLTA Grade D1

8.15am until 3.15pm with a 30 minute unpaid meal break. 

Start date: January 1st 2025

Shamblehurst Primary School are looking to appoint a HLTA to start in January 2025 to join our friendly and dedicated team. We are looking for an excellent practitioner who is confident in moving across the school to cover teachers for CPD, absence or to work alongside teachers within lessons.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible across the school age range (4 – 11 years). When you are not teaching, you will be expected to work throughout the school, potentially focusing on the most vulnerable pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is proactive in the safeguarding of children.
  • Is passionate about our school vision and values.
  • Champions all children and puts their needs and well-being at the forefront of the their role
  • Able to demonstrate high expectations for learning and behaviour, working within school policies and procedures
  • Communicates well with children, colleagues and parents
  • Understands how children learn and can adapt their practice to meet the needs of individuals
  • Is positive, calm and caring and able to sensitively support children with a range of needs, with a bucket full of kindness.
  • Shows initiative and flexibility
  • Have GCSEs in Maths and English grade C/5 or above
  • Have a Level 4 HLTA qualification or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Can enthuse and inspire children to learn and is passionate about raising achievement for all
  • Be enthusiastic, resilient and has a good sense of humour
  • Have excellent organisational skills
