We are delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for a HLTA to join our primary school. This GRADE D position will suit a member of staff who has experience of impacting positively on children’s learning and is committed to developing their career.

- Do you enjoy working with children and have a patient and caring nature?
- Can you demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the school?

- Do you have a willingness to learn new skills?
- Can you work closely with and be accountable to the class teacher, who will give guidance on the nature and extent of the support and supervision that the children require?

We are looking for someone who:
- Has a professional approach to all aspects of school life
- Possesses excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Has strong levels of literacy and numeracy (at least GCSE grade C / grade 4 in both areas or equivalent)
- Is able to work effectively as part of a successful team, show initiative and be flexible at all times
- Has experience of working with primary aged children in a school setting and is happy to take whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
- Has a caring, cheerful and conscientious disposition
- Shows resilience and determination
- Has a good sense of humour
- Is able to provide modelling and scaffolding to support children’s interactions and learning whilst striving to promote pupils’ independence.
