Job Introduction

Droxford Junior School is a successful, friendly village school set in the Meon Valley. The children here are wonderful and the staff are experienced, creative and proactive.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, resourceful LSA Level 2,3 or equivalent Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will join the team and make a real impact in the classroom setting. 

This role is for two days;

Thursdays as a HLTA (grade D) covering teachers PPA across the school. All planning is in place which makes the role easier. 

One other day (which can be a day of the applicants choosing) as a LSA (grade C). This role will entail supporting and challenging children in their learning, working with individuals and small groups. 

Being flexible, calm, creative, positive and determined are all important to the roles.

 

The successful candidate will…

  • • have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
  • • have experience of working with children in Primary / Junior Schools
  • • Be happy to teach whole class sessions as per contract
  • • able to motivate and engage all children
  • • be able to use their initiative and be resourceful
  • • be a strong team member
  • • have patience and strong communication skills
  • • has a good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
