Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint an LSA3/HLTA to be based at least initially in our Early Years (Reception) provision. This is following the promotion of the current post holder to a Hampshire Children’s Services position.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with Early Years experience - either school or nursery - to develop their career.
For the right candidate we can offer the chance to gain HLTA accreditation and the opportunity to go on to train to teach (as an apprentice through our partnership with South Farnham SCITT).
It is also an opportunity for an existing HLTA to broaden their experience in our thriving reception provision, working as part of a friendly team who are led by our Early Years Lead. Our HLTA has opportunities to lead the provision under the guidance of class teachers - for example providing PPA and Leadership cover.
We offer Early Years CPD in partnership with Hampshire Services for Young Children.
Trosnant is a two form entry Infant / Junior school federation which also benefits from an onsite nursery, which is expanding this year.
The provision benefits from high staffing ratios, a private speech therapist and trained Thrive Practioner.
The schools have a family support team who also run our community space and café - The Hut, and on site Forest School with trained practitioners. Early Years have weekly forest sessions.
Our Early Years setting is self contained and benefits from a large outdoor learning environment.
As a federation there is also opportunity to work across the primary phase in the future.
