We are looking for an enthusiastic and exceptional Learning Support Assistant to support a class teacher with a small group of SEN children (EYFS) in our happy and successful school. We pride ourselves in nurturing and supporting every child and knowing every child as an individual. We are a supportive, happy team and go the extra mile for all children. 

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who: 

  • Will be committed to high quality learning inside and outside the classroom
  • Has recent experience of the EYFS curriculum with Level 3 childcare qualification
  • Has experience with SEN
  • Can support the teacher with general classroom tasks, such as assisting with provisions, storage and maintenance of learning resources, displays, art materials etc, and any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post
  • Is able to implement planned tasks organised by the teacher or SENCO
  • To construct support material for SEN under the supervision of a teacher or SENCO
  • Has a really good understanding of the way in which children learn 
  • Provides exciting and inspiring learning experiences for every child in their care
  • Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children
  • Is confident and competent at using ICT to support learning
  • Can undertake appropriate training where necessary
  • Can accompany children on off-site visits under teacher supervision
  • Is a team player who can demonstrate good interpersonal skills and is self–reflective, with excellent communication skills
  • Committed to high standards of personal and professional development
  • Has a good sense of humour, is enthusiastic, ambitious and able to work with initiative
