Job Introduction
Saxon Wood is a small primary Special School for children with a range of varying needs including learning difficulties, physical disabilities and complex medical needs. Behaviour at Saxon Wood is exemplary, which was validated in our latest Ofsted Report (May 2023) when the school was judged as Good with Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes.
Our school has 44 pupils on role, with a high staff ratio - we have 27 class-based staff spread across 5 small classes.
To further enhance our curriculum, we are looking for a HLTA who can implement Forest School sessions across the school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can further develop our outdoor provision through planning sessions relevant to the needs of our children
- Can train staff effectively to implement enriched outdoor learning
- Has a strong team working ethos and the ability to collaborate and work with others
- Has good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with proven ability to disseminate information to a variety of audiences within the school community
