Job Introduction
We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated professional to lead and manage our successful Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department, where students’ attainment in GCSE exams is strong. We seek to appoint a candidate with a passion for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning in foreign languages. Whilst we currently teach French and German, we are also interested in receiving applications from candidates who may offer different languages. If you can develop and implement the MFL curriculum, promote a love for languages and cultural understanding among students and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all, we would be delighted for you to visit our school and learn more about the role.
This position is open to any current or aspiring Head of Department. Amery Hill School provides excellent opportunities for students to access languages at KS3 and KS4, as well as working with our feeder schools to ensure effective transition.
The role:
- Lead our MFL department, which currently teaches French and German
- Inspire a love for languages, and support students to excel in their studies
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the language learning experience across the school
